Deborah L. Waldman

Director of Human Resources

As Director of Human Resources, Deborah Waldman oversees the human resources operations for Snyder Cohn. With more than 25 years of human resource and management experience, she uses her skills in organizational development, personnel management, compensation, training and communications to keep Snyder Cohn running smoothly.

Deborah’s prior experience includes the positions of Vice President, Human Resources for Carl M. Freeman Associates from 1997 to 2008, Firm Administrator for Beers & Cutler in Washington, D.C., from 1990 to 1997 and Director of Human Resource Administration for The Artery Organization, Inc., in Bethesda, Maryland, from 1975 to 1990.

During that time, she advised firm management on internal management issues, integrated business units and a hotel acquired during her tenure, recruited, developed and guided executives and staff, and developed policies in the areas of personnel management, recruitment, purchasing, facilities management and administrative services.

Deborah has had experience with and responsibility for acquisition and culture integration, compensation planning, project and strategic management, staffing and recruitment, policy and procedure development, and corporate benefits administration. She has led the acquisition integration of new entities into existing organizations, managing the human resources due diligence process, integration of new employees into the company culture, compensation and benefits, and communications, seamlessly merging systems and successfully on-boarding new employees.

She has designed and facilitated leadership development programs, facilitated change management, created and implemented performance evaluation procedures, and – after surveying competitive businesses and researching the marketplace – developed appropriate salary ranges and benefits packages as well as established salary classifications and bonus programs.
